Shannon at Rocks in my Dryer is having a give away carnival, which I mentioned this morning as I was trying to think of something to give away. Lumber? no. Cats? no. Primitive country wall hanging thing? YES! I actually bought this for myself the other day but in the spirit of giving (and also the spirit of hoping I win something) I have decided to give this away in a random draw that I am very excited about. It is not everyday that I get to have a random draw. In fact, I’ve never had one before. Ever. How exciting!

Hello Give-A-Way-Girl!
I simply want it because I am sick and tired of trying to find something for Thanksgiving that’s not shrowded with “Harvest” or “Fall” or “Autumn” kinda stuff.. it’s getting to the point that Thanksgiving and thankfulness are disolving into our oblivion. I am not being negative.. really, I just made an interesting discovery lately: Ever notice how much attention is on Halloween? and not Thanksgiving? I realize I am worldly and a pack-rat, but I attempt at having style.. sort of eclectic clutter inbetween laundry piles. I just realized that I have 20 boxes of Christmas decorations, four boxes–you know, the plastic bins–of Halloween decorations, and ONE box of Thanksgiving stuff! simply ungrateful. We recently moved from our starter home (of 14 years) and got some more wall space. I want things to be meaningful, not just stuff. If I’m going to have clutter, it had better be MEANINGFUL clutter! right? right.
